What Does Dark MAGA Want?

Dark MAGA Americans no longer care about family values. But they don't care about being rich either. Here's what they want instead.

The wisdom stood for a long, long time.

1. Liberals served the interests of the American people, but didn’t understand their values.

2. Conservatives understood the values of the American people, but ignored their interests.

This wisdom informed the free-floating idea that liberals might have good ideas but they looked down on people if they so much as believed in God, while conservatives were in the pocket of big business while pretending to care about the little guy.

This is schematic, but let’s take “interests” and “values” as names for the strengths of the two parties up through, say, 2014.
