Two Old Misers Count Their Money

We might have guessed that the rapid ascent of Silicon Valley oligarchs over the past 15 years would eventually land hypercapitalists J.D. Vance, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk—who command some $230 billion among them—on the far right. Only in the safe spaces of the Dark Enlightenment can they uninterruptedly revere themselves as gods, and remind each other that they don’t owe no one nothin’—least of all their fellow Americans. 

This of course is also the side of Donald Trump.
