We must refuse to participate in this administration's lies. Actively, and always. We live not by lies. We live not by lies.

Here’s one simple thing you can do today to oppose the Trump administration.

It’s so small no one will see you do it. It’s a psychic shift. It’s brilliant.

It’s also what Solzhenitsyn called “the simplest, the most accessible key to our liberation.”

A personal non-participation in lies!

“Even if all is covered by lies, even if all is under their rule, let us resist in the smallest way: Let their rule hold not through me!”

So let’s start now. With a big lie we are about to abstain from. It’s going to be fun.

This is the lie that [the Covid-19 pandemic started in a lab.]

(I’m using brackets the way some anthropologists do, to indicate that this sentence is not a statement of fact, but a culturally-specific belief, a piece of folklore, a social fiction.)

According to the most recent survey on the subject, two-thirds of Americans believe this lie about where Covid started.

In 2024, a panel in the House of Representatives concluded that [Covid-19 started in a lab].

But hey! Did you know that this extremely serious claim has NEVER EVER BEEN PROVEN? As in not remotely proven??

Until recently, I gave little thought to this damnable origins question.
